Bar/batmitzvah Project: Keeping Up with the Steins.

The “Welcome to the Community” project is an initiative being run by LJRC, designed to help those in their bar or batmitzvah year feel a warm and valued part of our community.

Following on from the success of the first session, where over 30 children went on a “magical mystery tour” of Leeds and discovered its history, there is a second session planned for Sunday 10th May. At 3pm in the community centre there will be a showing of the Hollywood comedy “Keeping up with the Steins”

In this film, parents fight to ‘outdo’ the Steins by making their son’s barmitzvah party better than anything seen before. However, as time goes by the boy discovers there might be more to his barmitzvah than just the party. The movie will be followed by a short discussion and free food from The Vine Restaurant.

If your child has their bar/batmitzvah in the 2008/9 school year, contact me at neil@ljrc.org.
